Market Caterers are famous for our Spit Braais and Outdoor Functions in Johannesburg, Pretoria and surrounding areas. There isn’t a Spitbraai too big or too small. Contact us should you require and advice when planning your function. All our quotes are free and there’s no obligation.

Spit Braai Menu – 01

  • Minimum 30 people

From the Spit 
  • Karoo lamb legs marinated in oregano & lemon accompanied by spiced Tzatziki sauce

  • Spicy baby chicken-mild peri-peri flavour

  • Buttocks of beef in Delicious barbeque marinade with fresh rosemary

Salads: choose three of the following
  • Baby Potato salad dressed in a coriander infused olive oil vinaigrette

  • Mediterranean Salad

  • Beetroot and spinach salad topped with marinated feta & toasted walnuts

  • Cape curry three bean salad

  • German coleslaw

  • A condensed Milk infused potato & spring onion salad

  • Moroccan spiced carrot salad

  • Couscous salad infused with coriander cucumber and tomato

  • Avocado, baby spinach and four bean pasta salad

  • Curried Pasta salad

Hotpots: choose three of the following
  • Pap and sauce- South African pap with tomato and onion gravy

  • Vegetable pie Delicious medley of vegetables topped with mashed potato & cheese

  • Potato bake-slices of potato in a cream cheese and onion topping

  • Baby potatoes & caramelized cocktail cooked at the bottom of the spit

  • Milho Frito-Portuguese mielie meal fried in olive oil

  • Feta infused Creamy spinach and cinnamon spiced roasted butternut

  • Mediterranean roasted vegetables-zucchini, brinjals, mixed peppers and tomatoes

  • Black Mushrooms- topped with feta infused spinach

  • Baked potatoes served sour cream and chives

  • Lemon and herb whole chickens- marinated in olive oil and fresh herbs

  • Rolled joint of beef – with a mustard and honey crust
